Keyless Building Entry - Power Outage

Spoke with my building manager about what happens in the case of a power outage in regards to our keyless building entry. All access into the building is FOB only. Once in the building keys will get you onto individual floors and apartments but there is currently no battery or physical backup to get in the front door.Building manager has said there has only been one storm related power outage in 15 years but I still want to know how/if this is up to code? His answer was to prop the front door to our apartment building (in Cap Hill) open in the event of a power outage.Am I the only one who things this is bonkers/how should I address this? via /r/SeattleWA http://ift.tt/2dZuMWQ
