Would you or your squad like to be photographed?

Hello, I'm visiting Seattle solo in order to focus on photography. If you or your friends or your dance team or acoustic trio or whatever would like a casual photoshoot in trade of food, let me know. Good excuse to update your Tinder pics. Or we could do a take turns taking pictures of each other thing like on Negative Feedback's YouTube page. Note that the pictures will be on film so expect a long turnaround time and no instant feedback.I am staying in Mt Baker, but tomorrow I'll be attending a Meetup group for film photography Saturday 9am (Uptown Espresso, 2504 4th Ave). Then I'll be in West Seattle for a few hours, then maybe UW area for the evening. Sunday, lunch in Capitol Hill area and maybe visiting the Henry Art Gallery near UW for free admission Sundays. I leave Monday afternoon. Here's some recent stuff of mine :'s some stuff of mine when I wasn't so lazy and afraid : via /r/SeattleWA

Big police response in Broadview.

There's about 10 police cars blocking 3rd Ave NW and 110th St. I saw them milling about the open frobt door of a house off 3rd Ave before I had to redirect. Anyone on the scanner and know what's up? via /r/SeattleWA

Drug Dealer RVs and 72 Hour/Width violations

My block's newest resident is an avid cyclist. If he didn't spend all his income on really high end road bikes he could probably afford to rent a nice apartment instead of living in a dilapidated RV. I can forgive him, though. Bikes are great. I just can't bring myself to buy two or three really nice ones every few days.Judging from all the needles around, he's probably a diabetic too. Damn you, big sugar! He has many friends from all around the city, but I imagine they're very busy. They can only stop to visit once a day for a few minutes.I think he might have told some of his friends about the nice park where he's living, because some of them have come, too, and appear to share his cycling hobby, diabetes, and rustic living choices. Maybe it's a club ride support group hub.Unfortunately, he might not be up on the current parking regulations. I'd hate to think it, but if couldn't read, maybe the kids at the adjacent Boys & Girls Club might be able to help him.Anyway, his RV has been FindIt-FixIt'd and has all the violation stickers/warnings on the windshield, both for being over width and for staying longer than 72 hours. Does the city enforce this? I assume the answer's no, because they don't enforce anything, but if anyone has experience here I'd like to hear about it. via /r/SeattleWA

Left my wedding band at Tavolàta. Seems like someone took it :(.

This is my band: putting it out there it was taken at Tavolata :(. I took it off to wash my hands, and left it on the sink farthest bathroom from the door. It's not worth much honestly (since I don't make much money). But I'd be happy to get it back if someone out there finds it. via /r/SeattleWA

10 day notice to comply or quit

Came home to a letter saying I have 10 days to comply or vacate. Doesn't say what the violation is. I have been living in the building for 4 years and never had an issue.I am not sure what exactly I should do. I will contact the leasing office on Monday but should I also contact a lawyer or something?edit: Looking at the back. It says I had trash in the apartment at the time of the inspection which is not correct because removed my trash before they came in and I am blocking my heater which is also not correct there is a bag beside that's been there for 4 years. via /r/SeattleWA

To the Woman in the Convenience Store at First and Wall at 445 this Afternoon

For the record, if you're in line complaining that people are cutting ahead in a convenience store, and directing those comments at the person ahead of you who says they really don't care, you cannot then decline when they offer to allow you to go ahead of them.Nor can you take their admission of experiencing an anxiety attack and not wanting to deal who is cutting who, or who was in line first as "making it about themselves" when you've already asserted that you were just trying to stand up for said person. No ma'am, I don't care. And I want you and your daughter as far away from me as you can get before I lose my cool. My hands are shaking and I'm losing feeling in my fingers, my knees are trembling, and I am having trouble breathing. I just want to buy my water and leave with minimal human interaction. Save your "help" for someone who cares about who was first. We're all going to get to the front of the line eventually.Tl/dr: just go ahead of me next time with a polite "thank you" and listen when your daughter says "Mommy, she's just trying to be nice to us!" via /r/SeattleWA

Medallion signature guarantee in Seattle?

I'm trying to rollover a couple of IRAs in an attempt consolidate my finances. The mutual fund family that I'm trying to rollover from in requiring a medallion signature guarantee (not the same thing as being notarized) to get the money moved. This is pretty antiquated, does anyone know a place in Seattle that still offers this? via /r/SeattleWA

Non-casino organized bingo games in the Seattle area?

Somewhat of an odd question, but... Does anyone know of any organized bingo games held in the Seattle area on Friday/Saturday evenings? I know about the big casino bingo halls (Tulalip, Muckleshoot, etc.) but was hoping to find some smaller (and non-smoking) alternatives held like at a church or other organization. Anyone hear of anything like that? Thanks for your help. via /r/SeattleWA

Hypothetical legal question - getting public recognition for a legal case?

Say I was involved with a very interesting legal case involving a major Seattle company that wasn't getting the recognition I felt it deserved. What would be the steps one could take to do this? Would it be as simple as contacting some Seattle news companies? Or would it be preferable to try to build up recognition in activist circles that the case is related to?Anyone involved in Seattle news feel free to PM me but I am making this anonymous for now. via /r/SeattleWA

Suggestions for large indoor birthday party venue?

A friend and I have the same birthday and we want to throw a joint birthday party! Neither of us can host it, and we're part of a fairly large (~50 people) social group of people in their 20s and 30s. I was thinking somewhere outside like Golden Gardens, but it will be in late November and there is a high chance of rain/wind/cold. Another idea we had was Gameworks, but I was wondering if any people on this subreddit could give any suggestions. Preferably low cost, not looking to be super swanky or anything. via /r/SeattleWA

Any Seattle residential architects know what happened with the Green Roof incentives that Seattle used to offer?

I attended some city sponsored workshops for living green roofs about 10 years ago, and I recall there was some allowed increases in your house height limit for a green living roof -- but I'm searching the DPD website and can't find anything authoritative. I see the that 30' is the standard height limit, and you can have an additional 5' above that for a pitched roof, but I'm not finding anything about a flat green roof.Anybody dealt with this recently? via /r/SeattleWA

Weird Rainier Beer sub

Just got done having a conversation at work about glorious Vitamin-R at work, when I thought I'd try to see if there was a subreddit for it...Sure enough, exists. Give it a shot!I'd cross post this in /r/Seattle but wouldn't want to get banned for posting a competing subreddit (lol)Maybe it originally got created for cool Rainier stuff, but got taken over by bots spamming torrent links? Where to live, working in SLU

Mid-thirties couple no kids, not having kids, HUGE dogs.Trying to keep my commute <30 min. Would like a house over 2k sqft, a fenced yard, and a quiet area. Budget up to 850K. Proximity to bike trails, parks, water/lakes all big plusses.Character in neighborhoods is all well and good but as huge introverts I don't personally care all that much. Taking an uber/train to a bar/restaurant is fine for me.Thank you. via /r/SeattleWA

Have you been to a large group/ work party in Western-ish Washington? Tell me about it!

I need options for our next company party. Seattle ISPs?

After a couple negative experiences with popular cable tv providers and their bundles, I'm considering just having internet and not bothering with cable tv. Other than Comcast and Centurylink, can anyone recommend a decent ISP with pretty fast internet speeds? Sounds like some ISPs only service apartments or condo buildings. I have a single family house in W Seattle. via /r/SeattleWA
