Indigenous Peoples Day (Columbus Day) is this Monday, Government offices, Post Office, Banks and others will be closed

It's a national thing but I like to remind people about it as very few non-government organizations observe it. I work at bank, inevitably we get voicemail, calls and emails asking why we are not open and why nothing was processed.Make sure your office accountant, controller or book keeper is aware of the holiday. Especially if you are paid on Mondays. If your company wants to pay you on Friday, payroll needs to be submitted to the bank no later than Thursday. If they want to pay you on Tuesday, payroll needs to be submitted no later than Friday.USPS will be closed on Monday as well.
